The Journey of a Digital Entrepreneur

Wealth is Abundant
YouTuber, Dropshipping, Affiliate Marketing, Forex Trading, SMMA
I came across all of these methods of making money online when I tried to make money online
I’m going to share with you my experience and the lessons I’ve learned
So, Hopefully, you don’t make the same mistakes that I did
Follow Your Passion
I’m not going to say anything bad about any of the routes mentioned aboved
Well maybe Forex Trading
You can make money with all of the options
Sure, there are liars and scammers online but someone somewhere has made money with at least one of these options
That’s all I need to know. If success is possible, then why can’t it be for me?
Don’t be one of those people who write everything off as a scam
Back to the Roots
I first started with YouTube
I always wanted to be a YouTuber but I didn’t take it seriously when I was younger
I didn’t see the power in the internet. I was indoctrinated into the “Graduate high school. Get a degree. Find a Good Job. Rat Race propaganda”
Not anymore. Better late than never.
Sure, I missed out on a lot of time but Goldman Sachs has said that they expect the creator economy to grow to $500 billion by 2027
When I look back 10 years from now, I’ll realize that I’m still early. But, there was one problem.
It takes time to grow a YouTube channel, like any social media platform. And, I needed an income source.
The Money Maker
Okay, I didn’t choose Dropshipping or Affiliate Marketing
My main reason is that I didn’t like the idea of selling random products that I didn’t care about
I was initially against SMMA because I didn’t like the idea of Marketing but I came across an influencer/guru who made it seem like it was exactly what I was looking for
A little to no cost business model and I could pick the niche that I wanted. I purchased the course and everything.
I was already into health & fitness so I chose that niche to begin with.
I worked on the business every day, going through the slides and sending the emails.
I sent cold emails, cold dms, and even made phone calls.
I hated the outreach process.
Though I loved the sales calls
I even signed a $500 client
I offered Facebook ads and Google Ads
The Google Ads got a near 2x ROAS in the first month
The Facebook ads didn’t do so well
Knowing what I know now, as the expert, I should have advised my client that making new FB ads without new creatives was a bad idea
It might have changed the trajectory of my journey
Anyways, I only worked with that client for a month
I spent a lot of time sending cold outreach without signing another client and eventually switched to another option
If I Could do it Over
Before I talk about what I’m doing now, let me tell you the lessons I learned from SMMA
First, the ‘drop servicing” model can work but the principle is flawed
Starting a business and expecting someone else to do the work is a bad idea. You should have at least a general idea of everything that is going on in your business.
My first mistake was spending TOO MUCH money. Sure, you can limit costs. But, in the course I purchased, a service called Lemlist was recommended for cold emailing. That was a waste of money because people don’t like receiving cold emails. It’s spam.
There are better ways to go about it and I will talk about those in a future article.
Also, there was another recommended place to purchase emails. That was a waste of money because EVERYONE has access to those.
The key for outreach is to make it personal QUALITY + QUANTITY. Remember, you plan to work with these business owners for an extended period of time. Why not invest the time to learn about their business?
Third, I spent money on a virtual assistant from South Africa. I had a job at the time and it was stile a WASTE OF MONEY. Why?
Cold outreach is hard. Impersonal cold outreach is trash. I didn’t know enough to train her on the proper way to do outreach.
To sum everything up, if you’re going to do SMMA, do all the work yourself and make your outreach personalized to the specific business owner. You will find much more success.
Where I am Now
I am still working on my YouTube channels. I’m focusing more on the Vanhi Media channel at the moment until it’s able to bring in money
It recently crossed the 1k subscriber mark and it’s close to the 4,000 watch time hours for it to be monetized
As for money, I decided to embrace Day Trading as a way to fund my current and future businesses.
Yes, I said DAY TRADING NOT FOREX TRADING
I didn’t know this at the time but Forex trading is one of the hardes markets to trade in since they are heavily influenced by government policies
Sure, some people make money. I don’t know about consistently.
However, you’re more likely to find a legit person teaching day trading/investing than forex trading.
Anyways, I made a lot of mistakes in the beginning
One of the big ones is about RISK
The whole “go big or go home” mentality will bankrupt you in trading. You don’t need to put in a lot of money to make decent returns. The most important part is being able to hold a trade long enough for it to pay you
A lot of traders cut their trades short before it pays
I made this mistake going in to sub par trades for 10% gains.
I’ll create a more comprehensive guide about what I learned in trading later
TL;DR
You can make money online doing pretty much anything you want so follow your passion
Don’t fall into the trap that everything is a scam
Do all of the work upfront and keep costs low
When you start seeing some results (cash), then you can invest some money in to scale
